Irritable
eyelids - This common inflammatory condition (Blepharitis)
affects the eyelids. Signs and symptoms include sandy or itchy eyes
and red or swollen eyelids.

Droopy
upper eyelid - In its congenital form this eyelid
condition (Ptosis) can be either inherited or an isolated birth
defect. It can also be acquired later in life.

Ageing
eyelids Lifting and recontouring, correcting their
position on the eye. The ageing process can seriously affect
eyelid appearance and visual function, requiring corrective
surgery (Blepharoplasty). Other problems are an eyelid turned
outwards (Ectropion) or an eyelid turned inwards (Entropion).

Eyelid
lumps and swelling - This is a chronic inflammation
of an eyelid oil gland (Chalazia) that stimulates the formation
of a surrounding cyst.  |

tumours and cancer - Eyelid cancers can appear
as areas of elevation, depression, redness, scaliness, and dark
or light discoloration. Any sore that refuses to heal is suspect.
